Kevin Rank

Percussion, 2014

Kevin Rank is a fervent proponent of contemporary music as well as a percussionist specializing in chamber and orchestral performance. Also passionate about education, Kevin appears as a guest artist and clinician in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Recent projects include premieres and performances at Constellation Chicago, the University of Wisconsin – Parkside and the Milwaukee Art Museum as part of the Fresh Inc Music Festival hosted by Fifth House Ensemble. Kevin was the resident percussionist with the [Untitled] Festival in Dallas, performed in the premiere performance of the SYZYGY ensemble, WorldFest in Addison, Evenings at the Crow Collection of Asian Art with the Meadows World Music Ensemble and Meadows at the Winspear with the Meadows Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with the Crescent Concert Series, the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving, the Allen Philharmonic and the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra. Collaborators include Matt Albert, She-e Wu, Chris Deviney, Rolando Morales-Matos and Jamal Mohamed. He has also appeared as a featured soloist with the Rutgers University Percussion Ensemble.

As an educator, Kevin has taught percussion through individual lessons, chamber ensembles and Winter Guard International. He maintains a studio that is filled to the brim with private students. He holds degrees from Southern Methodist University and Rutgers University.
