Oboist and active chamber musician Becca Dora is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Northwestern University. She enjoys bringing music to underserved areas and unique venues such as NYC’s Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital and the West Side YMCA. More local ventures include performing at The Constellation and an outreach engagement at the Music 4 Peace festival in Harvey IL. Becca has performed at chamber music festivals including Madeline Island Music Camp, and the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival held at the Julliard School in NYC. She has also attended summer master classes at the Banff Center for the Arts, where she studied under the tutelage of Richard Kilmer and performed in the contemporary music ensemble conducted by Richard Sachs. Primary teachers include Robert Morgan, Margaret Butler, Marc Fink, and Susan Stauber. In her spare time, she enjoys taking improv classes at the IO Theatre in Chicago, sewing, dancing at clubs, reading and reeding!
