Jungmin Kim is a professional oboe performer. Her passion is to perform and collaborate with various artists around the world. She studied with Alex Klein at DePaul School of Music, completed her Master’s Degree and anticipates further study in Post Master’s Certificate in Oboe Performance.
She is a current member of Song-Pa Philharmonic Orchestra and an Ensemble group Oulim. Her ensemble group, Oulim has currently been selected as one of the Young-Adults Project Groups representing Jungnang-gu, Seoul, Korea, and anticipating to perform at the various venues in Seoul. While she was completing her degrees, she had performed with Missouri All State-Collegiate Orchestra, Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Citizen Philharmonic Orchestra, Bu-Chen Pops Orchestra and Pa-ram woodwind Quintet.
Jungmin is originally from Seoul, Korea. As a recipient of Global Study Abroad Awards from Sang-Myung University, she holds a BM in Music Performance both from Sang-Myung University (Seoul) and University of Central Missouri. She was the recipient of the Rob/Sarah Schwartz School of Music Awards.
Outside of music, she is a founder and a current president of DePaul University Korean Association, searching for opportunities to unite and collaborate with various communities of Chicago and further areas. During spare time she plays tennis, goes surfing, and plays acoustic guitar.
