Kinsey Fournier, Arkansas native, is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in clarinet performance at University of Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and clarinet performance from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Fournier is the winner of awards from the 2013 Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs and 2012 Neale Silva Young Artist Competition. She has participated in masterclasses with artists such as David Shifrin, Anthony McGill, Russell Dagon, Stanley Drucker, Robert Spring, and Todd Levy. An active and enthusiastic educator, Fournier served as part of a pilot project to bring music education to elementary schools through after school programs in Appleton, Wisconsin. Fournier currently holds a private studio in Ann Arbor. Her primary teachers include Chad Burrow, Melissa Koprowski, and Kelly Johnson. When she is not trying to find new and innovative ways of merging her two loves: chamber music and education, Fournier enjoys yoga, traveling, and anything involving the outdoors.
