Oboist Merideth Hite is a doctoral candidate at The Juilliard School and also holds degrees from Yale School of Music and University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. As a Fulbright Grant recipient, Ms. Hite received an artist diploma equivalent from the Trossingen Musikhochschule in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany. An active teacher and performer, she has appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, American Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, and Spoleto Festival Orchestra USA, to name a few. Ms. Hite instructs her own private students in New York City and also teaches oboe and chamber music on the faculty of Nyack College NYC. As the oboist in the ensemble REED5, Ms. Hite enjoys combining her two loves: educational outreach and cutting-edge woodwind chamber music.
