Theresa Gruber-Miller is a dynamic performer and educator based out of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Appleton, Wisconsin. She is working toward a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Trumpet Performance as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish at Lawrence University. As a versatile performer, Theresa has played in numerous ensembles including the Lawrence University Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, various brass quintets, and mixed contemporary music ensembles. She has attended the Atlantic Brass Quintet Seminar and Fresh Inc, exploring multiple aspects of chamber music and collaborative artistic projects. As an excited future music educator, she has held the roles of Vice President and President of Lawrence University’s Collegiate NAfME chapter. In her community she has participated in Music For All, connecting Lawrence musicians with community members in engaging concerts outside the concert hall. She is particularly interested in community collaborations through the arts and teaching in multilingual settings.
